A Gift That Upgrades

Approved Host and Institution orders include a balance for gifting eligible edition upgrades. The buyer chooses a starting and destination tier, creates a claim link, and gives it directly to someone who already owns the starting edition.

Unclaimed links can be revoked and issued again. Claimed upgrades cannot be resold or exchanged for cash, and gifted upgrades do not create another gifting balance; a reversed source purchase can invalidate dependent value.

Generosity should improve the product, not manufacture a currency.
