Build nonfunctional claim pages containing fictional senders and no live gift tokens. Ask a willing tester to identify five facts before any simulated sign-in: who sent it, which edition is included, whether the claim costs anything, whether a deadline applies, and what happens to an existing account.
Counterbalance versions that place those facts before or after the sign-in panel. The hypothesis is that context-first pages will yield more complete answers and fewer abandonment signals. Record task completion and the tester’s stated reason for stopping; collect no password, email address, or real relationship information.
A reproducible report would include screenshots, prompts, answer criteria, order assignment, and anonymous task counts. It could guide a production design, but it would not prove that a live gift was delivered, claimed, refunded, or understood outside the prototype.
