Opted-in events are grouped into six-hour local windows and large geographic regions. Cells remain hidden until enough unrelated accounts contribute, preventing the atlas from becoming a location trail.

The question is whether broad patterns still feel communal without precision. The methodology page publishes thresholds and explains why an empty cell may indicate privacy protection rather than inactivity.

A map can lose the pins and keep the rhythm.
